Educational System in Australia:
The educational system in Australia is divided into three main categories: primary, secondary, and higher education. Universities:
Australia’s universities have received international recognition, with 36 institutions making the QS World University Rankings 2021.

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) governs the qualifications in the Australian education and training system, encompassing higher education, vocational education, and schools. The AQF ensures a comprehensive national qualifications framework with clear learning outcomes and pathways for students.
The AQF provides an integrated policy that comprises:
- The learning outcomes for each AQF level and qualification type
- The specifications for the application of the AQF in the accreditation and development of qualifications
- The policy requirements for issuing AQF
- The policy requirements for qualification linkages and student pathways
- AQF qualifications and qualification pathways
- The policy requirements for the addition or removal of qualification types in the AQF, and the definitions of the terminology used in the policy.
AQF incorporates the qualifications from each education and training sector into a single comprehensive national qualifications framework.
Vocational:
Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is a partnership between governments and industry.
VET courses, provided by Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions and private institutions, focus on practical and work-oriented occupational skills. On the other hand, higher education courses are known for providing theory-based knowledge and professional career paths. However, there are exceptions, as VET covers a wide range of courses and qualifications.
