Under this visa, the child can freely travel to and from Australia multiple times within a 5-year period from the date of visa issuance, as long as the travel authorization on the visa remains valid.

• The child must be single and reliant on the parent.
• The child should be present in Australia both when the application is submitted and when the decision is reached.

Conditions of the Visa

• The child must be physically present in Australia at the time of application and when the decision is made. However, they must not have received immigration clearance.
• If the child is currently in Australia on a different visa with a “no further stay” restriction, they are not eligible to apply for the 802 visa.
